Sleuth-hiccup!-ing

Lisa Sanders, columnist for the NY Times health section, has proposed another “Think Like a Doctor” medical mystery. The last mystery diagnosis was posted here, involving a healthy child with hairloss.

The Presenting Problem:

A 46-year-old man comes to the emergency room with a two-day history of hiccups.

The answer is up already, but reading the comments is well worth it. Ultimately, a PA solved the case in the emergency room after recalling similar cases from previous years. Keep this one in your arsenal, too.
